We live in a small town with only one place to shop... WalMart. Our Mr. Coffee started to leak profusely, so we went to the store and got a replacement..., it leaked too. To shorten the story we bought and tried every brand (they only carry 4) from our local Walmart and had to return each unit because every one leaked or spewed coffee. I got on Amazon and read the reviews for this coffeemaker and I was impressed, so we bought it. It has been several months now and no leaks, no coffee spewing out!! Not only that... it brews fast and the coffee has a great flavor. No burning on the pot warmer, as there isn't one, and we can just pack the carafe into the living room and set it on the coffee table while we kick back on a lazy Saturday morning. Thanks Zojirushi!
