We are very happy with the Zojirushi Thermal Carafe Coffee Maker. We have not experienced any of the leak problems that a few others have commented on and, while number 4 filters are a little tight in the unit, they do work. The carafe keeps the coffee warm for hours and, since the carafe eliminates the need for a hot plate, the coffee gets none of the burnt taste you get with traditional units. While brewing, the unit seems louder than others we have used, but not oppressively so.
This is an excellent coffee maker that we would recommend to others.
UPDATE: Still very happy with the coffee maker after more than a year. Went out and bought a bottle brush to clean the thermal carafe because the inside was looking more "golden brown" than "gleaming stainless steel". Scrubbing wasn't getting it done.
