This coffe maker was bought to replace a 15 yr old Mr. Coffee. From the first cup I could tell this machine was inferior. The extra cover designed to keep the coffee warm in the carafe broke the first time I used it. After about 3 months the bottom started falling off of the carafe. The biggest disappointment is the bitter flavor of the coffee.
