I bought this coffee maker after a Starbucks coffee maker was recalled. I have had four different coffee makers during the last six years. On each one, after about a year some small piece falls off or the electronics stop working correctly. I have had this one for about six months and nothing has gone wrong yet and it seems sturdier than the others I have had recently--Starbucks, Capressa, Krups. It makes a good cup of coffee.
