Nothing beats a french press for making the best tasting coffee, but if you must have an auto-drip coffee maker, this is it. The coffee tastes great and keeps it hot for long enough to suit our needs (don't expect it to keep it hot for more than a couple hours). The only thing I would change is to make the top easier to unscrew, I use a rubber grip to loosen it. I love it that I can just place the carafe on the table when I have dinner guests, so they can easily serve themselves. The timer for auto brew has never failed us and it looks smart in our kitchen.
