This thing makes decent enough coffee, that's more or less hot, but it's construction quality leaves something to be desired. I ordered it but after receiving it I decided that it just might not last very long due to it's cheap plastic construction and returned it. The Lid on the Zojirushi is impossible to open with your bare hands after you've brewed a pot of coffee so unless you want to reach for a hand towel every time you want to pour yourself a cup of coffee do yourself a favor and skip it.
Instead, I ordered the Capresso 441.05 MT-500 Plus 10-cup Coffeemaker with Metallic Alloy Body and Stainless Thermal Carafe and the difference is like night and day!
The Capresso makes "burn your lip" hot coffee that's silky smooth and delightful. The construction of the Capresso is FAR superior to the Zojirushi as well. Comparatively, it's built like a tank and is aesthetically FAR more pleasing to the eye!
I would STRONGLY recommend springing for the extra $100.00 and getting a Coffee maker that will last for a few or more years and that makes INCREDIBLY delicious coffee too. Combine it with the Capresso 560.01 Infinity Burr Grinder, Black like I did and you'll be in Coffee heaven!
