Bought this from Amazon in April 2005. At the time paid $49 for it. Hands down the best coffee maker we've ever had. I can't compare it to other thermal coffee makers but it's better than anything else we've had and we've had many over the years. It brews hot and stays hot. It's easy to clean. We use it just about every day and sometimes 2-3 times a day if there's company. We clean it about every 3 months and I know it should probably be more often but we get away with it. Only ever had one small problem and that was a couple times it didn't completely finish the brew. It left about 2 cups of water not being put through and it would shut off. Well we cleaned it with vinegar and that took care of that. It was obviously overdue for the cleaning.
