Where To Buy Zojirushi EC-BD15 Fresh Brew Thermal Carafe Coffee Maker

I've used the Zojirushi daily for about a month, and I'm generally very pleased with it. I have one caveat, which I'll get to in a moment.

First, here's a tip for those who are disappointed that the brewed coffee isn't hotter. Don't take the instruction booklet so literally. It says to fill the stainless steel carafe with cold water, pour the water into the machine, and place the carafe in the brewing position.

No on two counts. First, use room temperature water. It gives a better brew than cold water. And second, always scald the carafe by filling it with hot tap water, and emptying, before you place it in position. This makes the fresh-brewed coffee considerably hotter. I think the result will please anyone who doesn't wish to burn their mouth.

Now the caveat. This is the one and only reason I don't rate this machine 5 stars. It distributes the hot water over a rather small area in the center of the filter. This works very well indeed for up to five or six cups worth of ground coffee. But if you like your coffee strong, and you want to brew eight or ten cups at a time, you may find that it doesn't scale up as well as you would like because it doesn't consistently soak the coffee that's above and beyond the center. In other words, you may have to use more than twice the coffee for eight cups as you would for four. It's not a big problem in my household, where we usually brew four or five cups at a time.Get more detail about Zojirushi EC-BD15 Fresh Brew Thermal Carafe Coffee Maker.
