I was looking for a Technivorm model reviewed on America's Test Kitchen, currently priced at a painful $269.00 plus shipping. For that price, it ought to stir in the cream and sugar, and serve it to me in bed! Instead, I ended up on a link which reviewed this coffeepot and they loved it. It met the criteria I was looking for---fast, hot dripping, but not too hot that it burns the taste, thermal carafe, under $100, standard filters, fits on my counter. ATK recommends dripping at 195 and 205 degrees Fahrenheit, at a brew time of six minutes, and this is 11 minutes for a full pot. I wish it was 12-cup rather than 10, but at that speed, I can refill all the thermal carafes from the pots I have thrown away (!) and have plenty for guests.
