We are avid coffee drinkers and brew anywhere from 2 to 3 pots a day. We have owned Krups, Cuisinart, and Mr. Coffee over the past 3 years. If this coffeemaker lasts more that a year I will be very happy. I just recieved it today and have brewed two pots so far. It seems to be the simple straight forward design I have been searching for. The coffee is hot and stays hot in the carafe. I have adjusted the grounds needed slightly downward because the water is obviously hotter hitting the grounds thus brewing a stronger more flavor full cup of coffee. It has a clock that is easy to read, the numbers are in red. It is simple to program. The water reservoir has a red ball that floats up to measure how many cups of coffee you are brewing. It is quiet and it has no annoying beeper to signal the end of the brew cycle. I set the maker up to brew before I get out of bed early in the morning I hated hearing the beeping of the the Cuisinart that just died. It is a tall coffee maker but is sleeker and takes up less overally counter space than previous makers. I am pleased I read the pros and cons of Amazon purchasers. I think the pros out weigh the cons.
